2011-2012 CCS DRESS CODE

CCS requires students to wear uniforms because appropriate physical appearance is an essential element in education. The following is the uniform code to be followed whenever on school campus:

SHIRTS
Elementary: Short/long sleeve polo shirt with CCS logo patch. (On chapel days: white, button down, collared shirt with CCS tie and logo patch.)
Secondary: White, button down, collared shirt with CCS tie and logo patch sewn on. Shirts must be long enough to cover a student’s midriff when that student’s arms are held above their head. Shirts must be buttoned to the second-to-top button or 4cm from the collar (whichever is higher). Undershirts must be white in color and may not have any designs or words.

TIES
Elementary: On chapel days: white, button down, collared shirt with CCS tie and logo patch.
Secondary: Must be pulled to the second-to-top shirt button or 4cm from the collar (whichever is higher).

PANTS
Navy blue dress pants. No casual cotton pants, please. Slacks should fit the student modestly, while not to the point of being considered baggy. Pants should be pulled high enough to not expose undergarments. (A sample of the color/fabric swatch is available in the School Office.)

SHORTS
Elementary Only: Knee-length navy blue dress shorts.

SKIRTS
High School Girls Only: Special-order skirts are available through the School Office for female students. The hem of the skirt must touch the floor when the student is kneeling.

SHOES/SOCKS
Black, brown and/or white sneakers or dress shoes. All shoes need to be closed toe, have a heel strap, and have a 2 inch heel or less for safety reasons. Socks should be a solid color. Ladies may wear solid color black or navy tights with skirts.

HAIR/ACCESSORIES
The following are not permitted: Sunglasses, hats or hoods in the building, earrings on boys (girls: one pair of earrings in the ear lobes only), body piercings, and tattoos. Hair must be neat and natural in color.

OPTIONAL
CCS sweater/vest/cardigan/hooded jacket. No other outerwear is to be worn in the classrooms.

PHYSICAL EDUCATION
Elementary: Custom-made P.E. uniforms are available through the school office. (OPTIONAL)
Secondary: Custom-made P.E. uniforms are available through the school office.
